World Cup 2014 Group E – Verdict

VERDICT: This is a fairly tight section and value doesn’t appear obvious but France and Switzerland will rightly fancy their chances of progression. Ecuador’s record away from their high altitude base in South American qualifying does not bode well and the two European raiders bring high quality sides that should feel confident of progression towards the last 16 and also victories, even if harder fought than the market expects. Honduras are no pushovers but a lack of quality in both defence and attack lets them down and the 5/2 on them losing all three games does appeal. France are worthy favourites but look closely matched with a Swiss side that packs serious punch on the flanks and going forward, so the dual forecast appeals more than either side to win the group.

Advice: 1 pt France/Swizterland dual forecast (5/4 Skybet), 1 pt Honduras to lose all three group games (5/2 Skybet)
